What happens on Sundays?
Sunday Services
We currently meet for morning worship on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. In addition, on the first and third Wednesday of every month there is a half-hour service in the afternoon at 2pm. This service is well-attended by those who have to work at weekends, find a full Sunday service too long to be comfortable or enjoy an extra opportunity to strengthen faith and fellowship.
Our Sunday services usually last for about an hour, with a wide variety of hymns. We have a strong focus on Bible preaching and teaching. Our music is led by our musical director, often accompanied by other musicians. Our minister sometimes plays guitar and sings praise.
We strive to ensure that all visitors receive a warm welcome. Please join us!
Worship on Zoom
To cater for people who are unable to be in the Sanctuary for Sunday morning worship, we give access via Zoom. If you would like the Zoom codes, please contact info@stonelawchurch.org.
Services are recorded and are available later in the afternoon on YouTube.
What about the Kids?
We call our Sunday School, “The Discoverers”. Children of primary school age, who stay in church for the early part of the service, then go down to the halls where they have bible teaching - and a whole lot of fun. (See above - a banner being made by the Discoverers.) They then return to the Sanctuary for the end of the service.
Likewise, young people of secondary school age have their own group, Connect 2, with appropriate Christian Education activities.
All our children and young people then re-join the congregation near the end of the service.
