Cartoons (and Coffee)
On the first Saturday of the month, we have our Cartoon Club for children. It's from 2 - 3.30pm, and you are free either to leave the kids and go, or to stay and enjoy a coffee and a chat in The Meeting Place (which will be open throughout).
Just like the cinema, we show the cartoons on a big screen, and the kids will be offered juice and popcorn to munch.
Tom and Jerry, Scoobie Doo, Donald Duck and more favourites will feature, plus an episode of Veggie Tales, or another cartoon with a Christian theme.

And while the kids are enjoying Mickey and Scoobie you've a chance to mow your lawn, or to drink coffee at our Fairtrade shop, or to relive your childhood and watch the catroons yourself.
The club is open to all children, although we do ask that an adult remains with any pre-school children. Simply turn up at the front door of the church, and share the fun.
(Please note the change - entry by main Stonelaw Road door, rather than to the halls.)
Forthcoming dates
- Saturday 5th December 2009
- Saturday 9th January 2010 (note this is the second Saturday)
- Saturday 6th February 2010
- Saturday 6th March 2010
Christmas present idea?
If the kids have enjoyed Veggie Tales at the cartoon club, why not buy them a DVD for Christmas? It is a great, fun, way of learning Bible stories.
The official website (U.S.) will tell you more, and you can get the DVDs from Amazon, or Wesley Owen.
