Girls' Brigade

Currently with no waiting lists, Stonelaw's GB is for all girls in primary school.
Girls meet in the Church Hall in two sections:
Explorers (P1- 3) 6.15 - 7.15pm on Mondays
Junior Section (P4 - 7) 7.30 - 8.30pm on Thursdays.
In the future we anticipate having a Brigaders' Section for secondary age girls.
Explorers

This year's theme is shapes. We will be exploring various Bible stories around our shapes using games, crafts, badge work, and more.
We start on September 7th with an introductory games night.
The section is led by Elaine May (officer in training), assisted by Victoria Allan and Carolynne Colgan.
For further details, email Elaine May or phone 0141-583-0157.
Juniors
This year we start with brand new programme material. We are delighted that numbers are increasing, but there's still some spaces.
We start on Thursday 3rd September with a special games night.
This section is lead by our Girls' Brigade Captain Christina McKechnie assisted by Lieutenant Fiona Benson, and Margaret Waterson.
For further details, email Christina McKechnie or phone 0141-613-3914.

Who are the Girls' Brigade

"Seek, Serve and Follow Christ" is the motto of the GB, which is an international and interdenominational Christian uniformed organisation.
It was formed in 1965 by the union of the Irish Girls' Brigade, the Scottish Girls' Guildry and the English Girls' Life Brigade.
Tthe programme is based on four principles: Spiritual, Physical, Educational and Service. These are covered in games, songs, stories and crafts, on completion of which girls receive a badge.
