Garden Harvest Time: 5th September 10am-12.30pm

Yes, the morning of Saturday 5th September saw our halls buzzing with activity.  The title kind of gives it away, but here's more of the detail. Thanks to everyone involved £877 was raised for Tearfund and Erskine Hospital.

The theme is ‘Grown by Me’.

You could see (and buy) the fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants that we’ve cultivated, the crafts we’ve made and the jams and pickles we’ve cooked.

Our members contributed their excess plants, flowers, vegetables, jam etc.

The tearoom was be serving Fairtrade tea, coffee and Stonelaw members' delicious home baking.  From noon, this was changed to soup and rolls.

Here's how people were involved.

How big are your sunflowers?

Do you remember when John Shaw handed out baby sunflowers to our kids in June? Well, now it was time for them to bring their plants back till John measures them up to find out who has won the competition for the tallest sunflower.

Home Baking

Everyone loves their morning tea and coffee accompanied by Stonelaw’s delicious home baking.

Jams and Pickles

Isobel Wilson had been encouraging you all summer to make (or buy while on your summer travels) jams, pickles, chutneys etc.

‘Grown by Me’ Photo Competition

Last year we had you matching gardens with gardeners. This time you were matching mums and their offspring.
