Bibleworld is coming to Rutherglen soon

Bibleworld, the mobile children's exhibition, will be visiting Rutherglen this November, and will be sited in Tesco carpark.
To celebrate the centenary of the Scottish Bible Society, Rutherglen Churches Together and the Reachout Trust have invited Bibleworld to visit us from 23rd - 27th November 2009.
Primary 6 pupils from our local primary schools will be invited to come with their teachers during that week. Each day up to 90 children will visit. There will also be a Bible story art competition for them, with prizes sponsored by The Reformer. (There's a prise for the best from each school as well as an overall winner.)
(There will also be a chance for you to visit it yourself.)
On Sat 28th November we have permission to have a stall in Mitchell Arcade where we will focus on the Bible and sell Bible-based books for children, youth, adults. Around the stall we hope to display the winning entries from the competition. Do come along.
What is Bibleworld?

Bibleworld SBS Studios is a 45ft travelling classroom like no other. It allows pupils to see the Bible as an exciting, life-transforming book.
You visit a film studio, where six imaginative sets create a colourful and stimulating environment! Here you take part in a variety of activities and explore the exciting world of the Bible.
It offers a 70-minute interactive experience for school and church groups. It accommodates a class of 36, and is designed in line with the Religious & Moral Education 5-14 Curriculum.

Funding - can you help?
The costs of this venture are not insubstantial. We want to make a sizable donation to the Scottish Bible Society, and we also want to hire transport to bring school classes to Bibleworld. So it will cost about £2,000. We don't have that money, so we are appealing for local Christians to help fund this, that we can give the a visit to Bibleworld asa gift to the schools.
If you'd like to make donation toward this, you can donate through The Reachout Trust (with Gift Aid if appropriate). Contact Ross Murray at Reachout, or simply send them a donation.
