World Church

Overseas partners

Over the years, Stonelaw has supported workers in a variety of countries.

Indeed, a number of people have headed out from Stonelaw for international service. Our previous minister, Alistair Morrice and his wife Mary lived and worked in Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan. Jane Howitt served for many years in Latvia with Scripture Union, and another member spent several years working with orphans in Tajikistan. We've also previously had links with Lebanon and Romania.

Today, we still have overseas contacts in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the Far East.

World Church Team

Our World Church team, headed up Julie Hoey, coordinates our international communications. We also have a World Church Action Fund, which allows individuals to make financial contributions to those serving overseas.

Christian Aid

Stonelaw supports Christian Aid. Many of our members take part in the annual door-to-door collection, and we have occassional extra collections for special appeals.

We are also represented on the Rutherglen Christian Aid committee by Jean Miller, the committee organises an annual celebration service and other events.
