People

Every person at Stonelaw is called to be an FTCW: that is a Full-Time Christian Worker. All believers are part of the ministry here.
Despite that, there are some lucky people who get paid for that privilege. They are:
Minister - Rev. Alistair May

Alistair has been our minister since 2002. He grew up in the area, and studied law before taking his BD, and then his PhD in New Testament. He's married to Elaine, and they have two young daughters Rebecca and Hannah.
Outreach Worker - Therese Reid

Therese joined us in 2008 in the new post of Outreach Development Worker. She's got the job of encouraging Stonelaw in its community service and outreach.
Despite her youthful appearance, Therese is a mother of three, and a grandmother. Before she came to us, she worked as a Chaplaincy Support Worker at Faslane naval base.
Organist - Alan Jenkins

Heading up our musical talent is Organist and Director of Music Alan Jenkins. Alan is a secondary school music teacher; he's married to Joanne with three young daughters.
Find out more about out music here.
Church Officers - Leonard and Jackie Sheppard
Leonard and Jackie make a great team, caring for the building on a daily basis, and working together to make sure Stonelaw always looks its best. A married couple, they have one son and they've been at Stonelaw since 1996.
And the rest of the FTCWs
We have an active team of elders, the Kirk Session, supported by the managers who look after fabric and finance. But that's just the start. We hope that throughout this website, you'll be able to find out what some of Stonelaw's people do.
