Our membership of the Camglen Fair Trade Forum.
The Camglen Fair Trade forum is a project within the Cambuslang and Rutherglen community dedicated to promoting the fair trade message in the two towns. This work resulted in both towns being declared fair trade towns on June 4th 2011.
Stonelaw Church is a founder partner of the forum, along with several other local churches, high schools, the co-op, and many other individuals. Stonelaw Church is represented on the forum by Elaine May.
For more information visit www.camglenfairtrade.org.uk or speak to Elaine.
You can also learn more about fairtrade towns on the Fair Trade Foundation's website.
Rutherglen (and Cambuslang) are among 8 international communities declared jointly to be the 1,000th Fairtrade Towns. See here for details. Congratulations to the Forum, and well done.
